Wrestlepalooza, as a Premium Live Event, is a term originated from the ECW Programming. WWE acquired the rights of the event when they purchased ECW. On WWE Raw, Paul Heyman teased the event with his promo, which was later confirmed by the WWE CCO, Triple H, who claimed the event to take place on September 20, with a post on his social media handle.

The tickets for the event is sold in the website StubHub. The PLE will take place at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, which is the home of Indiana Pacers and Fever. The capacity of the stadium is 19000 and the starting price of the tickets are set at $177. The price varies from there to $200, $300, $400,... so on till $8,822.
