Gable has had a significant push in recent years, particularly after turning heel after failing to defeat Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship. He's subsequently changed his character and berated his Alpha Academy students, earning Gable the famous Kurt Angle, "You suck" boos from the WWE Universe.

Gable has been Zayn's major adversary since WrestleMania 40, and he recently challenged for the championship again at WWE's King And Queen Of The Ring. Regardless, Fightful Select has announced that his WWE contract will end next week.

As of now, Gable has yet to sign a contract extension with the business, although WWE has expressed interest in re-signing him. However, it is also expected that he will receive interest from across the industry, with a strong push from various talents in outside companies to vouch for his signing.

Surprisingly, several MMA companies are keeping an eye on the issue and would like to sign Gable if he becomes a free agent. Given how frequently Gable has appeared on television recently, many fans will be surprised that his contract would expire so soon. However, he is not the only high-profile talent in WWE whose contract is about to expire, and this is causing some concern for the organization right now.

WWE has lately obtained contract renewals for several big names

Becky Lynch is the biggest figure whose contract is going to expire, since it expires this week, with The Man presumably bidding farewell to the fans on WWE Raw last Monday. Despite her extended employment with WWE, Natalya's contract is set to expire shortly.

Finally, Dijak, a former WWE NXT Superstar, is set to sign shortly. During the last WWE Draft, the business added him to the main roster, implying a possible push for the former Retribution star. However, given that his contract expires this summer, it is uncertain what will happen next for him.

However, WWE has lately obtained contract renewals for several big names. Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Damian Priest, and Finn Balor have all inked new contracts in recent months, demonstrating WWE's ability to negotiate terms.
