The King and Queen of the Ring 2024 came to an end with some predictable outcomes. The PPV event in Saudi Arabia's Jeddah turned out to be value for money as the wrestlers put on a great show. Most of the matches were great and the crowd was involved in them. What highlighted the night was the controversial final match between Randy Orton and Gunther.

The event started with the match between Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill against Indi Hartwell and Candice LaRae. The tag team champions had no difficulty whatsoever as they claimed an easy win over the duo. They hit a DDT-German Suplex combo on Larae to defend the title. Liv Morgan completed the ultimate goal of the revenge tour as she became the world champion.

Morgan beat Becky Lynch to become the Women's World Champion. Dominik Mysterio's attempts to assist Lynch failed badly as Morgan used them to her advantage and claimed a win. The triple-threat match between Sami Zayn, Bronson Reed, and Chad Gable was great. Otis delivered a clothesline to Chad by mistake instead of giving it to Sami. It did not sit well with Gable.

Controversial match between Randy Orton and Gunther

While Otis was responsible for Gable's loss, Zayn used it to his advantage and defended the Intercontinental title. Nia Jax beat Lyra Valkyria to become the Queen of the Ring. In a good match, Lyra got enough time to prove herself but failed to beat Jax. The match between Gunther and Randy turned out to be great until the controversial moment happened in the ring.

Orton had the upper hand in the match and looked to claim a win after delivering back-to-back RKOs. However, Gunther kicked out of both instances and rolled over to pin Orton. The injured shoulder of Orton led to a controversial ending to the match. While Gunther became the King of the Ring, Rhodes defended his world title against Logan Paul in a classic match. The Main event of the PPV event was worth watching.
