Vince McMahon's hush money charges have proven to be invalid as per his admission on X. While he might be eligible to return to WWE, he might not be welcomed due to the ongoing Janel Grant case. It might lead to him forming a new wrestling company as a rival to WWE, a development that has been taking place indirectly.
Several reports have claimed Vince McMahon to be investing heavily in a company. While the details on the same are not provided, the speculations are that it could be a wrestling company. If what reports claim is to be believed, the wrestling world could witness the emergence of a new company spearheaded by McMahon.
On the other hand, Shane McMahon is reported to have made his AEW debut. If it does not happen, it would be interesting to see if the duo form a new company with each other's help. The hush money charges led to Vince being forced to step down as the WWE boss. Janel Grant's case forced him to be erased from the company.
Everything to know about Vince McMahon's hush money charges
Vince took to X and confirmed the end of hush money charges on him. "The case is closed. Today, nearly three years of investigation by different governmental agencies have ended. There has been much speculation about what exactly the government was investigating and what the outcome would be," wrote Vince in his statement.
The former WWE boss confirmed that the speculations were misleading and misguiding. He claimed that there was nothing in the case apart from some accounting errors in the personal payments he made. Vince claimed he could put things behind him and have a new start.
"As today’s resolution shows, much of that speculation was misguided and misleading. In the end, there was never anything more to this than minor accounting errors concerning some personal payments that I made several years ago while I was CEO of WWE. I’m thrilled that I can now put all this behind me," added Vince.
