The then NXT Champion was presented as a force to reckon with in his debut at the Elimination Chamber. As Oba Femi will face Cody Rhodes on Saturday Night's Main Event, WWE has a good chance to pull off something similar.

On SmackDown last week, it was confirmed that the winner of the match between Oba and Ricky Saints at Deadline would get a chance to face Rhodes at SNME. After Femi overcame Ricky, he earned a chance to face the American Nightmare on the night of John Cena's retirement.

So far, Oba has been brilliant in his promos. While Cody hasn't said anything much, he is more concerned about Drew McIntyre. As a part of the story, WWE could use it as a key factor to help Oba beat Cody, potentially clean to present him as a force to reckon with.

Will Cody Rhodes endorse Oba Femi at SNME?

Back in 2015, Cena lost clean to Kevin on his debut. Rhodes is similarly an established star like Cena and a loss would not make a big damage. Femi deserves to be presented the best way possible, given how incredible he has been in NXT. His main roster launch would be interesting to see.

There is also a possibility of Drew McIntyre potentially costing Cody the match, which could further drive their story forward. However, that wouldn't do a lot of justice to the Ruler of NXT. A better way to book it would be for Oba to lose and Cody to endorse him after the match.
