The German fans kickstarted Friday Night Smackdown in style at the Uber Arena. There were Football chants and other unique cheers and chants used by the fans to show their passion for Wrestling which was similar to the ones used by the French crowd at Backlash 2024. There could be a tough fight put by the German crowd to beat the aura of the French crowd.
Ludwig Kaiser got the loudest reception he ever got in his career. It was expected for a home wrestler. However, it is important to note that he is a heel. For someone playing a negative character to get cheered by the fans meant a lot. Throughout his match against LA Knight, Ludwig was cheered by the fans. Something similar happened at the Backlash 2024.
During the match between Cody Rhodes and AJ Styles, the former was the face and the latter was the heel. Despite that, the fans cheered both of them and showed how an experience could be better with the involvement of the fans. It seems like the German fans are ready to do something similar at the Bash in Berlin. They have shown signs of it on the blue brand.
French crowd vs German crowd
There was equal support for Knight and Ludwig in their match for the US Championship. During their match, the fans cheered Knight with chants of "LA Knight" and "Yeah". But they also supported Kaiser with the chants of "Ludwig Kaiser". The latter might have never been cheered by WWE fans that way in his entire career. However, the French crowd set a high standard for an energetic crowd.
They even cheered the mid-carders and some of the wrestlers who were not 'over'. During the entrance of Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin, the German crowd did not react as well. If that remains the case for the rest of the weekend, the French crowd could turn out to be better. Regardless, it is great to have fans who involve themselves in the matches.
