WATCH: Zelina Vega pins Chelsea Green to win Women's United States Championship

WWE has named a new Women's United States Champion. On Friday, Zelina Vega ended the first reign of the Women's United States title by defeating Chelsea Green on SmackDown, making her the new champion.  The LWO member was allowed to compete for the championship after defeating Green in non-title matches in recent weeks. She took full advantage of the opportunity to achieve her greatest wrestling win to date.

Green was preparing to move when Vega struck the Code Red after his Secret Service was removed from the ringside. She held up the belt with enthusiasm after winning her first WWE singles title with the pin. Although Piper Niven was successful in diverting Zelina Vega's attention, it did not help her win the bout.  Then Vega tried for a 6-1-9, and Piper tripped her up.

They were both ejected from the ringside when the referee finally saw Alba Fyre attempting to intervene. Green then keeps wearing Vega down by slamming her knee into the back of her neck.  After that, Vega does a German suplex on Green from the middle rope, followed by a meteora. Before Green can attack Vega with an enzuigiri and prepare for the Unprettier, Fyre leaps up on the apron.

But meanwhile referee saw Fyre and Niven cheating, which led to their removal of them from the ringside. After that, Vega attacks with a backstabber and a 619 on Green. To win, Vega strikes Green with her signature move, Code Red. It was quite the evening for Vega, as her husband, Aleister Black, made his comeback with the WWE by celebrating a Black Mass with The Miz just after she had won the Women's United States Championship.
