Tonight on WWE SmackDown, Cody Rhodes was seeking a tag team partner. To anyone who might partner with Solo Sikoa, he sent forth a warning. Cody Rhodes opened tonight's SmackDown by talking about what occurred to him and Randy Orton the previous week.

Following their triumph over the previous WWE Tag Team Champions A-Town Down Under, Cody Rhodes and his unexpected tag team partner Kevin Owens felt like the greatest people in the world. A few minutes later, Owens had a crushed windpipe, Rhodes was pushed through an announce table, and The Bloodline was standing proudly with their fingers up.

Austin Theory and Grayson Waller interrupted him, accusing him of being responsible for the assault they had last week from the Bloodline. It was not long before there was a fight. After this segment, Cody requested a bout against Waller and Theory from Nick Aldis, but he was told he would need to find a partner.

After defeating the previous tag team champions, the two changed the story, but their post-match revelry was short-lived as The Bloodline made their presence known. In a fit of rage, Rhodes dove over the top rope, taking out Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa. Tanga Loa tried to tackle Owens, but "The Prizefighter" overcame him and joined Rhodes and Sikoa in their battle from the outside.

Solo Sikoa discussed the match during his segment later in the evening. He declared that everyone who supported Cody Rhodes was against him and spoke of himself as the Tribal Chief. Then he threatened to punish someone if Cody didn't enter his next fight without a partner.

Cody Rhodes will take on Solo Sikoa at WWE SummerSlam

Cody Rhodes will take on Solo Sikoa in the Undisputed WWE Championship defence at WWE SummerSlam. This encounter marks the culmination of the two men's ongoing conflict. Whether Solo can overcome the American Nightmare at SummerSlam will be intriguing to see.

For an instant, it appeared as though Rhodes and Owens were about to turn the tables on Sikoa, but Jacob Fatu struck Owens before the two men could introduce the new Tribal Chief through the announce table. Rhodes was cuffed by Sikoa and Tonga, who had him watch as Fatu floored Owens with a barrage of hip strikes in the corner.
