Shawn Michaels was frustrated with Kevin Owens' aggression and delivered him 'Sweet Chin Music' after ensuring a fairly smooth contract signing on Saturday Night's Main Event. The 2-time WWE Hall of Famer was unhinged and ensured Kevin was taught a lesson. Cody Rhodes and KO relinquished their titles before their ladder match at Royal Rumble 2025.
As Nick Aldis could not ensure the contract signing between Cody and Kevin, HBK was assigned the role of SNME. The WWE Hall of Famer returned to San Antonio for the same and got a good reception from the fans. Cody and Kevin entered the arena for the same and got different reactions from the fans.

While Cody was cheered, Kevin was despised with boos from the fans. The commentators were unhappy with KO for running his mouth against them. Shawn requested Cody and Kevin to sign the contract by addressing Aldis' failure. Cody wasted no time and signed the contract. Owens brought his tantrums and took a dig at Rhodes.

The star wrestler replied to Cody's accusations of him choosing the easier path 10 out of 10 times. KO claimed he never chose the easier path and cited the WWE Bash in Berlin match as an example. Rhodes did not want to hear anything from Kevin and asked him to sign the contract.
Owens further said Cody had signed up to get beaten badly at Royal Rumble and signed the contract. Shawn was relieved and asked both Cody and Kevin to relinquish their titles. As the duo executed the instructions, KO tried to take a cheap shot at the American Nightmare.
Michales mediated and forced Owens to retreat. However, Owens went after HBK and tried to deliver him a Package Piledriver. Rhodes came to HBK's assistance and delivered KO a superkick. HBK was done with Kevin and delivered him 'Sweet Chin Music'. Fans were happy as KO got what he deserved. The video went viral on social media and the fans were happy with the segment.
