In a remarkable display of cross-genre camaraderie, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair and Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma have taken the internet by storm. The legendary wrestler posted an Instagram reel featuring a side-by-side video of himself performing his iconic strut alongside Sharma, who emulated Flair’s famous walk after winning the T20 World Cup.

The collaboration came after India's historic victory in the T20 World Cup on June 29, held in Barbados. As Rohit Sharma made his way to collect the trophy, he performed Flair's celebrated strut, a move instantly recognized and celebrated by fans globally.

Here is the video:

Ric Flair, known for his flamboyant personality and signature walk, shared the video on his Instagram with the caption, "The Worldwide Sensation! WOOOOO!" This caption highlighted the global reach of Flair's iconic move, now embraced by a cricket superstar.

India continued their dominance in T20I cricket

Rohit's celebration was not just a testament to his admiration for Flair but also a unique way to mark a historic moment for Indian cricket. The Indian team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, culminating in a nail-biting 7-run victory over South Africa in the final at Kensington Oval.

This victory was significant for several reasons: it was India's second T20 World Cup title, ending a 17-year drought since their last win, and it marked Rohit's 50th win as a T20I captain, a record in the format. The Indian captain's use of Flair's strut quickly went viral, with even the International Cricket Council (ICC) acknowledging the gesture by posting a video overlaying Flair's theme song with Rohit's celebratory walk.

Meanwhile, after being struck in Barbados due to a Hurricane Indian Cricket team and team officials are set to take a fight for India on Wednesday in the Charted plane. The team will reach India on Wednesday evening and is likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the national capital.
