Rey Mysterio was impressed by Penta's WWE debut on Raw on Netflix. The legendary wrestler claimed that he always envisioned WWE to be Penta's true home. The former world champion felt Penta proved to everyone why he is in WWE. There is a good chance of Penta and Rey teaming up to take on the New Day in their upcoming feud.

Penta had a thunderous debut on WWE Raw where he got so 'over' among the fans in the match against Chad Gable. The star wrestler claimed a win over Gable via pinfall and showed he belongs at the WWE level. Fans loved the match and the stardom of Penta. Jackie Redmond, the backstage interviewer, asked Rey his opinion on Penta.

Redmond herself sensed the aura around Penta as the fans gave their approval for his debut. The former world champion claimed to have known Penta for a long time. He claimed to have envisioned WWE being the hoke of the star wrestler. Rey was happy that Penta proved why he was right about him.

Will Penta team up with Rey Mysterio to take on The New Day?

"Jackie, I've known Penta for quite some time now, and I always envisioned his true home would be WWE. Well, he just went out there and proved to me and the whole world why he's here," said Mysterio in the interview.

Rey is likely to have a feud with the New Day in the upcoming weeks. A match was announced to take place between the Latino World Order and the New Day on Raw with Rey's partner being kept a secret. Penta could well be the secret partner of Mysterio. Rey and Penta are like a mentor-student duo.

A match between the duo is one of the most anticipated ones in WWE currently. A leadup to it might not make sense before Rey and Penta team up with each other. Feuding against the New Day might be the right way to book their initial collaboration. By the end of the story and beyond, their feud could be booked.
