Following serious allegations of sexual trafficking and misbehavior from former WWE employee Janel Grant, Vince McMahon resigned from both TKO Holdings and WWE. Interestingly, Mark Shapiro has now shared his opinions on the current status of WWE after recently meeting McMahon.

Following his departure, a number of Vince McMahon's TKO stocks would be sold. In an interview with CNBC Sports, TKO COO Mark Shapiro talked on Vince McMahon's current role in the WWE. He explained that McMahon is no longer involved in the decisions the company makes on a daily basis.

In order to check in, Mark Shapiro said he had breakfast with McMahon a few weeks ago. It was their first time meeting in a long time. He claimed that although McMahon was amiable and highly professional, he was no longer employed by the company. McMahon is not contacted by WWE, does not sit on the board, and does not make decisions. At the same time, Shapiro said McMahon desires privacy as he works through some legal concerns.

Shapiro guaranteed that TKO and WWE would continue to develop and flourish. Although his stake in the business has decreased, McMahon still holds shares in it. Although he wasn't particularly asking for McMahon's view, Shapiro stated that McMahon favors WWE's path when asked if he supports it.

Vince McMahon resigned as TKO Group's executive chairman

According to earlier reports, Vince McMahon is concentrating on his current endeavors, including establishing a new entertainment firm specializing in film and television productions. That being said, McMahon will never be involved with WWE, and it is doubtful that this will change very soon.

In response to a lawsuit claiming sexual assault, sexual misconduct, and human trafficking, Vince McMahon resigned as TKO Group's executive chairman. Endeavor purchased WWE from McMahon in 2023, and it combined with the UFC to become TKO.
