Kofi Kingston's mother turned against her son for his actions against Big E during the New Day's 10-year anniversary on WWE Raw a few weeks ago. Kofi's mother was present in the arena to celebrate her son's success. Instead, she refused to celebrate with her son and moved out of the arena as Kofi tried to gain her acknowledgement.
In the commentary box, Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett were discussing on Kofi and Xavier Woods' actions against Big E. Kofi interrupted and claimed Joe wasn't unbiased as he claimed himself to be. He then addressed the fans and claimed to be unaware of the reason behind getting booed out of the arena in his own backyard.

Xavier Woods claimed he and Kofi could've hit Big E with a steel chair. But they respected Big E due to their love for him. Kofi then spoke about his mom who was in the arena to celebrate with him. He then went to his mom who was as disappointed as everyone in the arena.

Kingston hoped his mom would congratulate him for the wrestler he had become. Instead, his worst nightmare came true as his mom walked away from the arena due to his actions. That's when Kofi realized how big a mistake he had committed. But Kingston stood by his actions.
Backstage on Raw, Rey Mysterio met Woods and Kofi. Being the locker room leader, Rey tried to give the duo a chance to rectify themselves. He asked the duo to apologize for what they did to Big E. Woods and Kingston maintained that they had done nothing wrong.
Mysterio understood that none could help them. He asked the duo to not complain of him not attempting to fix the things. He asked the duo to be prepared to be booed out of the arena. Rey asked the duo to be prepared for the chants of "New Day sucks". Kofi and Woods couldn't believe everyone was against their actions.
