Rey Misterio’s death causes confusion, fans mistake it for Rey Mysterio

Rey Misterio Sr., a Mexican wrestling legend, died at the age of 66, and the wrestling community is in mourning. He was a mainstay in the Tijuana Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Revolution, and World Wrestling Association (WWA), among other prominent Mexican wrestling organizations.

Mysterio Sr. won many awards during his career, including the WWA World Junior Light Heavyweight Championship. He further cemented the family's history in the sport by winning the WWA Tag Team Championship with his nephew, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio Jr.

Rey Misterio has huge impact on wrestling 

The impact of Rey Misterio Sr. goes much beyond his achievements. In addition to this, he was the great-uncle of current WWE superstar Dominik Mysterio and the uncle of Rey Mysterio Jr., a well-known member of the WWE Hall of Fame. He also helped shape the careers of several up-and-coming wrestlers and served as a mentor to his nephew.
