Karmen Petrovic finally accepted Ashante Adonis by kissing him on WWE NXT. After weeks of misunderstandings caused by Nikkita Lyons, Karmen realizes her love for Adonis. Oba Femi was stubborn to get a match against Eddy Thorpe who attacked him during the segment against Tony D'Angelo and forced the NXT GM Ava to set a match between the two.

Karmen and Adonis have had a rollercoaster ride as a couple. In their love story, Nikkita acted as the third wheel and tried to throw herself into the scenario. For weeks, Petrovic believed Ashante had something with Lyons. However, upon self-realization, Petrovic found Adonis to be a perfect match for herself.

Backstage on WWE NXT, Adonis came with flowers to greet Karmen. This time, she did not overthink and sweetly accepted Adonis by kissing his cheek. Booker T in the commentary box got excited as the focus shifted to the ringside. The segment has gone viral on social media with mixed opinions from the fans.

While some felt the story was getting interesting, others believed Karmen was too good to be involved in a story. Many claimed Petrovic deserved to fight the best women on the roster. While some felt her character had to evolve, others felt a love story with Adonis would not take her anywhere.

In another segment, Oba celebrated his title win at NXT New Year's Evil. It did not last longer as Tony D'Angelo interrupted Femi and remembered the NXT Champion that he was the only wrestler to beat him. Oba reminded Tony of his hard time handling Ridge Holland let alone taking a dig at him.

Just when things started to heat up, Ridge attacked D'Angelo and Eddy Thorpe attacked Femi. After the segment, Oba went backstage and asked Ava to give him a match against Thorpe. As the NXT GM tried to convince saying it to be one of Eddy's cheap tricks, Oba treated her by attacking Stone and earned himself a shot at Thorpe.
