Cody Rhodes returns from injury (Source: X)
Cody Rhodes returned during a WWE live show and attacked Kevin Owens. The American Nightmare faced KO in a steel cage match without a second invitation. The world champion and his challenger had a photo finish to the match as both nearly escaped from the cage at the same time. Cody came out of the cage slightly before Owens.
Kevin was trash talking in the arena with the fans. He claimed the fans had to grateful for him for taking out Cody Rhodes. The star wrestler felt they no longer had to chant Cody's name out of courtesy. As KO got booed by the fans, the music of Cody hit. The fans went crazy and welcomed their hero back.

Cody was happy to be back and the fans sang his song. Rhodes wasted no time and went after Kevin. He attacked the star wrestler which started the match between the two. It was loved by the fans and the ending was brilliant. Both Cody and Kevin nearly came out of the ring at the same time.
Kevin Owens refuses to hand over eagle winged title
Due to escaping the cage in a few milliseconds before KO, Cody won the match. The world champion addressed the fans and thanked them for supporting him in the tough times. He confirmed to show up on WWE Smackdown. The fans were happy to hear Cody's announcement.
On Smackdown, Nick Aldis gave an ultimatum for KO. He asked Kevin to return to eagle winged title back to the management given how prestigious it is. KO replied to the ultimatum and claimed himself to be deserving to hold on to the title.
Fans felt there could be a title vs title match in the upcoming weeks. While Cody is the Undisputed WWE Champion, Kevin might use his stolen title to get a shot at Cody's title. The winner could become the Undisputed WWE Champion. While the chances of it happening on WWE Raw's Netflix Premiere, it could happen on Royal Rumble, the first PLE of 2025.
