The creative team has been against the idea of Logan Paul being John Cena's final WrestleMania opponent. The general opinion of the creative is that Logan might not be the right wrestler to be Cena's last WrestleMania opponent. Many have a strong feeling about Gunther, Randy Orton, or Bron Breakker being the final WrestleMania opponent of the 16-time world champion.
There were rumors which spread about Logan being Cena's WrestleMania opponent. A recent report claimed that the creative team indeed spoke about the idea that was pitched among themselves. However, most of them were against it, as Paul might not offer a compelling story to be Cena's last WrestleMania opponent.
"Sources indicate recent rumors of Logan Paul vs. John Cena at WrestleMania have, at the very least, been discussed. However, the idea has been met with resounding disapproval from several within the creative. The general feeling is that this shouldn’t be Cena’s final WrestleMania match," claimed the report which pointed at the creative team's disapproval.
Who could be John Cena's last WrestleMania opponent?
Logan is a good wrestler. However, he might have little to nothing to do with Cena at this point in his career. In his final run, Cena must bid adieu in the best way possible. Hence, there is a need for him to face either one of his greatest rivals or the wrestlers with titles that aren't won by him.
The idea of Cena facing Gunther is liked by the creative team. The Ring General is the world champion and Cena is set to break the record of winning the most world titles. The only thing that could go against the idea might be Gunther's potential face turn.
Likewise, another title that might be relevant in Cena's farewell tour is the Intercontinental Championship. Bron Breakker is the current holder and might be a good WrestleMania opponent for Cena. But the ultimate feud the fans wish to see is Cena vs Orton, as the latter has wished for the same in the interviews in the past.
