“I think that is absolutely a main event caliber match. That was part of the triple main event on the biggest show we ever did and one of the greatest matches we’ve ever had in the history of AEW,” Khan said. “They are two of the greatest wrestlers in the history of this company, and two of the greatest champions.”

In that match, it was Toni Storm who emerged victorious and retained the AEW Women’s World Championship. Khan also claimed that the overall quality of the contest was so high that it only made the fans want a possible rematch.

“I felt like, coming out of it, the momentum was even greater for both of them,” he explained. “In a crazy way, after such a great match, even though [Mercedes] had never been beaten, I feel like you came out of it in some way with more respect and in many ways, people want to see a rematch even more.”

Finally, Khan concluded by saying that the encounter can easily be a main event match on any major show. “Absolutely, in my opinion, that would be a fantastic main event match on any major show,” he said.

Meanwhile, at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view, both wrestlers won their respective matches. Storm defended her AEW Women’s World Championship against Athena, while Mone was involved in a four-way match where she retained her TBS Championship.
