WWE: Vince McMahon embarrassed himself by tearing his pants in the Royal Rumble 2005. The former WWE Boss was angry by the fact that John Cena had botched up against Batista.
Vince McMahon tore his pants while addressing the botchup between John Cena and Batista in the Men's Royal Rumble 2005. As both Batista and Cena fell from the top of the apron at the same time, Vince was angry and came running down the arena to address the issue. In the process, the former WWE boss ended up tearing up his quads.
Given how serious the issue was, it turned out to be one of the most unintentionally funny segments in the history of WWE. Batista and Cena were the last two competitors remaining in the ring. As Batista went for the Batista Bomb, Cena was lifted. He could not hold on to the balance.

As a result, Batista and Cena ended up eliminating each other. As per the plans, Batista had to deliver his Batista Bomb and then eliminate John Cena to become the winner. However, the botchup from John ensured that there was chaos. While one end of the referees chose Batista as the winner, others chose Cena.

The confusion led to Vince coming down the arena with an angry face. He rushed to the ring and ended up tearing his pants. Vince McMahon sat at the place out of embarrassment and looked at the incident. While one set of the referees chose Batista as the winner, the other set chose John as the winner.
Vince had no choice but to ensure a rematch. There was no room for a further botch-up. The duo of Cena and Batista executed the moves they originally had to. Batista went for a Batista bomb. This time around, Cena did not mess up and sustained a massive blow.
Batista threw John out of the ring and became the Royal Rumble 2005 winner. In the years to follow, John has accepted in a number of interviews that it was his mistake to allow a rematch. The leader of the Cenation Army claimed that he was responsible for the botchup in the Men's Royal Rumble 2005 match.
