John Cena indirectly congratulated The Rock for getting a Golden Globe nomination for playing Mark Kerr's role in his biopic. In his Instagram post, the Leader of the Cenation Army posted the image of Dwayne Johnson's nomination for 'The Smashing Machine'. The Great One replied to the post and regarded the 17-time world champion as truly the GOAT of WWE.

As Cena posted The Rock and Emily Blunt's image of getting the Golden Globe nomination, the former commented on it. In his comment, Johnson claimed to love Cena and added that he is grateful for everything the veteran has done for the business. He then regarded Cena as WWE's GOAT.

"I love you, man, and as you know, always grateful for everything you’ve done for the business we love. You’re truly the G.O.A.T. Bring your moonshine, I’ll bring the tequila," The Rock commented on Cena's post, hinting at having a catchup in the near future.

Will The Rock show up for John Cena's retirement?

Many reports have hinted at The Rock showing up at SNME on December 13 on the retirement night of the 47-year-old. Given they had a story together in the farewell tour, it might be worth having a revisit or at least something about the segment. The Rock might simply present himself as a member of the TKO.

WWE has officially teased The Final Boss asking Cena to wrestle till WrestleMania 42 in one of its posts. That makes such a case highly unlikely. Given the iconic rivalry Cena and The Rock had from 2011 to 2013 and even later in their careers, it would be good to see them share the ring at SNME.
