At WrestleMania 41, Steve Austin had a spectacular entrance, but his typical fierce ATV ride quickly took a turn for the worse as he lost control and slammed into the barricade, shocking the audience and sending one fan to the ground. The Texas Rattlesnake is now at last speaking up about the backstage incident that made WWE management nervous.
Austin slammed his four-wheeler straight into the ringside barricade at WrestleMania 41 in Allegiant Stadium after misjudging the turn on his second lap around the ring. Fans in the vicinity were shaken by the collision, and one was even knocked over. Austin got off the ATV, checked on the fan for a moment, and then went on to his part as if nothing had occurred.
Austin has now spoken out about the matter directly. Steve Austin said that the collision wasn't planned when appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show. "The throttle setup is different from what I'm used to. In summary, it's simply a new throttle system. He remarked, "I'm pretty dang handy on a four-wheeler."

Want to offer the audience the finest entertainment - Steve Austin
Austin didn't hold back after his crash. "I felt ashamed about it. I believe that everyone is doing well. It's not the best day at work when you go out on the biggest night in wrestling and finish up like that. You want to offer the audience the finest entertainment you can, and it's not fantastic when you don't meet that goal," he said.
It wasn't a one-time event, as Austin returned to the fans to chat with them directly after his in-ring entrance. Although there hasn't been any negative publicity or legal action thus far, and it appears that the matter was settled amicably, the video of the collision is still going viral on the internet.
Even WWE icons have bad days, and Steve Austin is one of the most resilient men in the company's history. To his credit, he treated it with dignity, took responsibility for it, and accepted the consequences.
