Just a couple of minutes into Punk's reign, Seth's music hit the arena, and the fans went crazy. Rollins got off his crutches, took the MITB contract from Paul Heyman, ran towards the ringside, got the referee on his side, and ensured to cash in the contract despite the resistance from Punk.

Rollins made the best use of the rest he had away from the company against a tired Punk, delivered a Curb Stomp, and claimed a win via pinfall. It was described as the 'Ruse of the Century' on air by Michael Cole, so aptly too, as he tricked many to believe that he was legitimately injured.
