Nia Jax's WWE matches are frequently criticized because of her hard-hitting in-ring style. While some fans believe the new Queen of the Ring is a dangerous wrestler, Ryback disagrees. Jax returned to WWE in 2023, two years after her previous seven-year career with the business ended. In 2018, the former RAW Women's Champion fractured Becky Lynch's nose and caused her to suffer a concussion. She's also been accused of harming other wrestlers throughout the years.

Ryback supported Jax on his Ryback TV show, saying that if those behind the scenes thought she was risky, she wouldn't work for WWE, as per Sportskeeda, "I've only met her a couple of times. She was very nice. I don't know, I'm not there, so I don't know. I just know if she was truly as dangerous as whatever everybody wants to make out to believe, she would not be on the roster. She wouldn't be working with people."

On May 25, Jax beat Lyra Valkyria in the Queen of the Rings final. She will contend for the WWE Women's Championship, which Bayley currently holds, at SummerSlam on August 3.

Nia Jax, one of the most intimidating wrestlers in the women's division, makes maneuvers that appear to harm opponents. Last week, for example, she delivered a devastating Annihilator to Lyra Valkyria, yet the Irish star still battled Kairi Sane two days later on Raw.

They'll do something and a spot can look dangerous - Ryback

Ryback feels Jax intentionally performs big techniques to make people believe she is more dangerous than she is.  According to Sportskeeda, "They'll do something and a spot can look dangerous, but it's being done by design on purpose to make that talent get more heat. I sometimes think that people get worked on the work on things, but I'm not there so I don't know for sure. The other thing is people hold on to things forever."

Former WWE wrestler and current producer Shane Helms praised Nia Jax's strong finish versus Valkyria, characterizing her Annihilator as "show-stealing."
