Nia Jax wins the WWE Queen of the ring tournament 2024 after defeating Lyra Valkyria

Nia Jax managed to get the better of Lyra Valkyria to clinch the title of ‘WWE Queen of the Ring 2024’ during the premium live event stage in Saudi Arabia on Saturday. Jax is the second winner of the title ‘Queen of Ring’ in the history of the tournament since the inaugural edition of the tournament was played three years back in 2021.

Furthermore, Jax will also be playing the women’s championship match at SummerSlam on the grounds of her win in the title event for the WWE Queen of the Ring. The Queen of the Ring 2024 was announced by the company after the conclusion of the Backlash.

Notably, the first edition of the Queen of Ring tournament in 2021 was clinched by Zelina Vega, who wasn’t a part of the just-concluded 2024 edition of the tournament.

Valkyria's hopes ended after a good run in smackdown 

Valkyria was added to the main roster through the WWE draft of 2024; he earned this draft with an amazing and impressive journey in the NXT Women’s Championship, where he won the title after defeating the WWE Hall of Famer Becky Lynch.

Speaking of the smackdown, Jax faced some amazing superstars which were offered by the company. She started his run with a win against Naomi in the tournament's first round. Later, he defeated WWE women’s tag team champion Jade Cargill as the latter was disqualified in the second round.

Furthermore, Jax defeated Cargill’s tag team champion partner Bianca Belair in the semi-final of the tournament.
