Lyra Valkyria stuns Iyo Sky to enter final of Queen of the Ring 2024

Lyra Valkyria entered the final of the Queen of the Ring tournament in her maiden appearance. The former NXT Champion won the match against Iyo Sky and created an upset for ages. Despite being the dominant of the two, Sky could not end up being the winner. Lyra was surprised herself after beating Sky. It is to be seen if her impressive run continues in Jeddah.

Earlier the night, Becky Lynch gave a bit of a boost to Lyra to take on Iyo. It did bring a good performance out of Lyra in the ring. However, for the most parts of the match, it seemed like Iyo was good for a win. Right from the word go, she dominated her opponent with her in-ring skills. Lyra had her moments but Iyo looked to take the game away from her.

Iyo showed why she was the Women's World Champion for over 8 months. Her performance was so good that it seemed like Lyra had no chance in the match. However, the former NXT Superstar hung in there and delivered the knockout punch. She delivered her finisher and pinned Iyo to claim a surprising win. No wonder why Sky was absolutely shocked by the loss.

Liv Morgan takes a cheap shot at Lyra Valkyria

As the commentators and the management praised the emerging star for her huge win, Becky congratulated her fellow Irish woman for the win. What followed was a brief faceoff between Liv Morgan and Lyra. Came disguised to wish Valyria her win, Morgan took a cheap shot at the finalist of the Queen of the Ring. Lynch addressed Morgan in the ring and criticized her.

The WWE Women's Champion asked Morgan the reason behind attacking people in the locker room and running loudmouth. Morgan explained what her aim was on her revenge tour. Liv claimed that she wanted to attain the ultimate glory of becoming the World Champion. Liv refused to take on the Man claiming that she wanted to beat her in the Queen of the Ring.
