Rikishi was interviewed recently, and he spoke about John Cena's retirement tour. The former WWE Superstar recalled Cena's younger days when he got a chance to wrestle with him. The father of Usos said that Cena was in the process of being molded as the top guy in the company. Rikishi claimed Cena to be a workaholic.
"When [John Cena] first came in [to WWE] he was green, and they were molding him to be the guy. John is a workaholic," said Rikishi in the interview. During the Money in the Bank 2024, John returned and announced his retirement. He claimed 2025 to be his last season in the company before retiring. The fans were not too happy with his announcement.
Many have pitched in their ideas about the retirement tour of the star wrestler. There are many who want Cena to retire as the world champion for a record 17th time. In fact, Ric Flair himself felt it was not a bad idea and claimed to be the first person to wish the leader of the Cenation army if he indeed broke his record.
'The right way to do it is to send John off with the utmost success' - Rikishi
Rikishi said he could not wait to see how things could unfold. The former wrestler felt that the right way to send John would be to help him achieve the utmost success. He hinted at John Cena potentially winning the world title for the 17th time in his career. Rikishi hoped to witness the moment from TV or elsewhere, if not live with the star himself.
"I can't wait to see how they send John off... the right way to do it is to send John off with the utmost success. I hope if I'm not there in person, you can be damn sure I'll be there watching," Rikishi felt. The Royal Rumble 2025 seems to be the perfect destination for Cena's retirement tour to kick start. He could well win it or the Elimination Chamber 2025 to have a go at the world title.
