WATCH: Randy Orton challenges Kevin Owens for match at WrestleMania 41

Next month, in Las Vegas, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens will square off at WrestleMania 41. Orton and Owens engaged in a verbal fighting match in front of an intense audience in Bologna, Italy, to begin the March 21 broadcast of Friday Night SmackDown. Before The Viper could say a thing, KO cut him off in his promo, and he did apologize for striking him with the package piledriver months prior.

According to Kevin Owens, Randy did not deserve anything that had occurred to Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn over the previous few months. Owens apologized for allowing his rage to control him and made an effort to put the feud behind him with his former friend and tag teammate. 

Owens said that because "no one" wants to see Randy Orton return to his former, vicious Viper persona, he spared Carmelo Hayes from getting punched last week. Kevin proposed that he and Randy pursue the WWE Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 41 at that point. Orton refused to accept it and urged Owens to chuck that apology as far as he could.

The former WWE Universal Champion, according to Orton, was once "Fight Owens Fight," but these days he's more like "Bitch Owens Bitch." In Las Vegas, Randy claimed to be hearing the voices in his brain once more, instructing him to kick Owens' head off his shoulders.

Randy Orton gets grand welcome in Bologna

Randy Orton and Kevin Owens were originally scheduled to face off at WWE Crown Jewel in November, but the bout was called off when they fought before the bell. On the November 8th edition of WWE SmackDown, Owens then used a piledriver to take Orton out. Up to the WWE Elimination Chamber, Orton was not present.

For many years, the Viper's famous "Voices" theme song has been played in arenas, accompanied by an entrance that is always full of swagger and intensity. The Italian audience made a lot of noise as he made an appearance at WWE SmackDown in Bologna, Italy. When Randy Orton approaches the ring, he strikes his trademark turnbuckle stances. He then takes a microphone as his theme is being loudly sung by the audience.
