Oba Femi defends NXT North American Championship in classic match against Ivar, Wes Lee returns

Oba Femi successfully defended his NXT North American Championship after beating Ivar in a classic match. The match was mostly dominated by Ivar but Oba managed to hang in there and bring his best towards the end moments of the match to pin Ivar. The crowd was involved in the match and was entertained by the duo. Both started the match by trying to push each other.

Ivar set the tone well by delivering a power slam to Oba. He further made the match spicy by delivering a spear through the barricade. He showed his usual athletic moves and surprised the commentators. Oba did not seem to be at his best in the middle and struggled to make a return. However, given his calibre, Femi showed why he's the NXT North American Champion.

Just when Ivar seemed to be running away with the match, Oba made a return with a vicious close line. But Ivar returned the favor with a big boot. What followed it was the display of Oba's immense power. He lifted Ivar a couple of times and claimed an upper hand. The fans were invested in the match and let out the chants of 'NXT', and 'This is awesome'. 

Wes Lee returns

Ivar aimed to finish the match and brought on his finisher. However, a seemingly tired Femi kicked out on two. Ivar was surprised at it and came harder at the champion. Oba lifted Ivar and aimed to finish the match. He then delivered his finisher move, power slam, and pinned Ivar to claim a win. As Femi reigned supreme, a surprise awaited him. An NXT Superstar returned to the ring.

Wes Lee came through the barricade amongst the fans to the cheers from the fans. He came straight down to the ring and went face-to-face with the North American Champion. In the upcoming days, Lee might well be the challenger for Femi. Wes has been out of action for months. It might be the best way possible for him to return to action.
