Ivar beats Josh Briggs to set up match with Oba Femi

Ivar overcame Josh Briggs to make his path towards Oba Femi clear. In the last week on NXT, Ivar returned to the roster from Raw and challenged Femi for the North American title. Josh Briggs, who delivered a great match on NXT Stand and Deliver against Femi and Dijak, injured himself in the process. He was not fit to challenge Femi for the title again.

Ivar saw this as an opportunity to challenge Oba. But he did not want to do it without giving a fair chance for Briggs. Earlier tonight, the Vikings Raider offered Briggs an option. Ivar said that if he beat Oba to claim the title, the two could then compete for the title. But Briggs denied the offer which led to their match. It was brisk and easy for Ivar. 

Briggs was clearly not at his best. The injury came haunting for him as Ivar took the full advantage of it. Briggs could not move as well as he would have liked. Ivar was at his athletic best and impressed the fans from his moves. Briggs had no way but to crawl his way back into the match. For a brief period, Josh threatened to win the match.

Oba Femi finds the clash 'interesting'

But Ivar was way too good. He delivered some blows and punches to the talented wrestler. It seemed like the exposure to some of the best Superstars in the world in the main roster of Raw helped Ivar to gain a lot of confidence. It was handy for the Vikings raider in the match against Briggs. He did not find it difficult to beat someone like Josh.

Towards the end, Ivar made it look so easy. He delivered one of the most powerful moon saults and claimed an impressive win. Oba Femi was watching the entire match in the backstage in the locker room from the TV. After the match, when asked to give his opinion about the clash, the North American Champion sported a wicked smile and claimed it to be 'interesting'.
