A former Nexus member spoke about the feud between Cody Rhodes and Logan Paul. Ryback, who was a sensation in the PG Era, claimed that it was good on the part of Triple H to book Cody with Logan as there was only a limited time to get a PLE match for the Undisputed WWE Champion. Even the US Champion has not had a match since WrestleMania XL.
Ryback felt that Paul challenging Rhodes for the title was a good move as he is a social media star with arguably the highest following on various platforms. The former WWE Superstar claimed it to be a smart move from the creative team. Additionally, he believed that the ongoing fight between Jake Paul and Tyson could do good to the feud between Cody and Logan.
In the latest episode of Smackdown, the American Nightmare signed a contract with Paul for the King of the Ring match where only the Undisputed WWE Championship would be on the line. Paul claimed that Cody had not done anything to have a title shot at the United States Championship. Ryback felt that Paul being a heel could elevate Cody a lot.
Small sample size to judge Cody Rhodes' title reign
The giant wrestler added that having a potential Randy Orton vs Cody match would not make sense at this point as he believed the feud must not last for a short period. He then backed Cody amidst the criticism of his title defences so far. The former Nexus member believed that the American Nightmare attends every live show whether he defends the title or not.
Ryback felt that the title reign of Rhodes must not be judged as he felt it has been shortlived for now. He asserted the fact that the gap between two PPV events has been less for Cody to have any kind of title defence. The King of the Ring 2024 is set to take place in Saudi Arabia's Jeddah. Many top Superstars of the company will be in action.
