WWE is a Sports Entertainment industry which needs the wrestlers to be innovative and appealing for the fans. They must not just be able to deliver threatening moves but must also be ready to take them. For their moves to look threatening, the wrestlers train hard all their lives. However, some of their moves could get banned due to its brutality and other reasons.

Shooting Star Press was one such moves which was banned in 2004 till the next few years. Due to Billy Kindman's nasty landing in the match against Chavo Guerrero, it got banned. Michelle McCool's Wings of Love was banned as it was regarded to be a bit too dangerous for the women's roster back in time.

Muscle Buster was banned from the main roster as it resulted in Tyson Kid ending his career. Samoa Joe's only finisher was Coquina Clutch on Raw, Smackdown, and PLEs. Piledriver has been banned from WWE for its brutal nature. As many could not sell it and protect themselves, it was banned for a long time.

Seth Rollins and Randy Orton's banned finishers

Much like Piledriver, the Vertebreaker was banned as it could impact the head of the wrestlers. Another move that was banned for years was Brainbuster. Though many wrestlers like Finn Balor and Sami Zayn used it recently, it was not used frequently.

The Burning Hammer is one of the moves which was not just banned by WWE but from all the Wrestling promotions around the world. It was used only 7 times in the history. Diving Headbutt was banned due to the concussion it could lead to the wrestler. A lot of it had to do with Chris Benoit.

Seth Rollins' curb stomp was banned from WWE for a brief period. Vince McMahon considered it a bit too dangerous for the kids. It was however reinstated a few years back. In 2009, Randy Orton was to deliver a Punt Kick to Vince McMahon. But it ended up injuring the former WWE Boss ensuring its ban.
