Seth Rollins claimed CM Punk leaving WWE in 2014 was one of the most selfish things a human ever did. The visionary felt Punk afforded to leave the company as he was a star and wanted others, who did not have an alternative job, to do the same. Seth was angry that he did not get an explanation from Punk for leaving their friendship.
The revolutionary said 2014 was a time when the product was bad and everyone in the roster was struggling to get a connect with the fans. Rollins felt Punk was an established star at the time and could take a decision to make a move from WWE. However, he said others didn't have that luxury.
The visionary said even AEW didn't exist at the time and found no point to support Punk who wanted to leave the company. Seth claimed wrestling in WWE was his dream job and it was the only way for him to earn a living. Seth Rollins claimed that he wasn't on Punk's level yet to move away from WWE.
'I never got an answer' - Seth Rollins on CM Punk
"AEW didn't exist at the time. There was nowhere else to go. Like, what are we going to do? Just pack up and leave because CM Punk's feelings were hurt? And I'm like, dude, A, this is my dream job. B, this is how I earn a living. And like, I'm trying to set up, I'm trying to get to your level," said Rollins.
The star wrestler felt it was one of the most selfish things a human ever did as Punk left the company when he had enough money to survive and wanted others to do the same who didn't have enough money at the time.
"Leaving the way he did, and then kind of like expecting other people to follow him, and then like taking shots at the place from a distance when he wouldn't even explain to his friends, like why he was so resistant to continuing that friendship. Like, I never got an answer on it," Rollins added.
