Mercedes Mone was in a show where she was asked about her move from WWE to AEW. The star wrestler claimed that she was going through an opinion to leave the company in the last couple of years. However, she felt at one point to retire from Wrestling. She felt it was not fun for her anymore. Mone said that the outside noise was an issue for her.

However, the former world champion stuck by the fact that she loved wrestling. Sasha claimed that she did not like the noise on the Internet but added that she loved the noise of the people cheering her in the ring. She said that there was politics all around but coped with it. The AEW star claimed that politics would be everywhere and could be worked through.

“It’s really how I grew from a ‘Legit Boss’ to a CEO. I wanted to be a CEO of my own life, I wanted to take control of my life and my career, so two years ago, I was really questioning myself, if I should still do this. I was like, no, you’re amazing. You still have so much more to give and do that you can’t quit on your dreams now," said the TBS Champion in the show.

'It was the hardest decision' - Mercedes Mone

Mercedes was then asked about her exit from WWE. The CEO said that there are many reasons for it. However, she pointed at one particular incident without giving much details. Mone spoke about a Monday Night Raw episode where she felt she didn't belong in the company. Mone added that she realized at that point that she had to take control of her life. Mercedes claimed it to be the hardest decision of her life to be made.

"Something didn’t feel right that day, how we were talked to didn’t settle in my heart, and I just instantly knew, if I wasn’t gonna take control of my life right here and now, then I was never going to be happy there by having someone talk to me the way that they do or feeling like you just don’t belong. Like okay, I’ve been doing this for 14 years, and to feel like this, this low, my soul is like no, get up, go. It was the hardest decision," said Mone in the show.
