Britt Baker made an unexpected return to AEW Forbidden Door, interrupting Mercedes Mone's celebration of her victory. Baker was approached backstage for an interview, but she declined, stating that she would have more to say on this week's Dynamite and would keep her word tonight. Britt Baker returned to the ring and disclosed exactly what had held her out of action for the previous ten months: a startling diagnosis of a transient ischemic stroke, or TIA.

Now that she's fully cleared and ready to fight, Baker confronted Mercedes Mone and challenged the TBS Champion to a battle at All In. Mone instructed her to go to the rear of the line, but Baker refused, and it appeared that the bout would take place sooner rather than later.

Baker began by addressing the audience and discussing three phrases that she has been thinking about a lot recently. "That is past, present, and future. Our past serves as a lesson. Our present is a gift, and our future is our inspiration. Let's start with the past. I'm sure many of you have been wondering 'where' Britt for the past ten months. And whenever that question was posed, the response was, 'She's injured.'

Then something unexpected happened, resulting in a startling diagnosis. "I attempted opening a bottle of water but couldn't. And my entire right side quit functioning. To summarise this incident, I spent a week in the hospital after being diagnosed with a TIA (transient ischemic attack).

After briefly discussing Mone's unexpected prominence in AEW, she appeared and ordered everyone to set out balloons and decorations to celebrate her victory at Forbidden Door. After some back and forth, Baker discussed being one of AEW's originals and participated in the inaugural All In. That's why it made perfect sense to make further history at the following All In, where she challenged Mone to a TBS Title bout on pay-per-view.
