John Cena and AJ Styles ended their rivalry on a high note by delivering arguably the best match of 2025. The Leader of the Cenation Army and the Phenomenal One paid tribute to some of their biggest rivals and the greatest Superstars of all time. While Cena won the match, he shared a moment of respect after the end of the match with a hug and even before the match with a special message announced.
Styles himself paid tribute to some of the notable TNA Superstars and his former rivals. Along with that, he also paid homage to Shawn Michaels with a Sweet Chin Music. Cena, barring the match against Brock Lesnar, used top finishing moves of some of his greatest rivals since his face turn.

The Miz's Skull Crushing Finale
Cena paid tribute to The Miz during the match whose image he had posted on his Instagram handle a few days ago. The 17-time world champion executed the Skull Crushing Finale against Styles, a signature move of The Miz. Cena and The Miz main evented WrestleMania 27.
Randy Orton's RKO and DDT
Cena used a couple of moves of one of his greatest rivals, Randy Orton. The veteran delivered an RKO to Styles, one of the most dangerous finishers in all of Wrestling. He also delivered a DDT similar to that of Orton.

Bray Wyatt's Sister Abigail
Probably the most emotional segment of the match was Cena paying tribute to Bray Wyatt. The former world champion delivered a Sister Abigail, looked at sky, and rembered the former member of the Wyatt Family. Cena and Wyatt delivered a unique match at WrestleMania 2020.
Chris Jericho's Walls of Jericho
Cena also paid a tribute to Chris Jericho, who is currently in AEW. The experienced wrestler delivered the Walls of Jericho, the popular submission lock of Jericho. Cena and Jericho had a feud in the 2000s.

Rusev's Accolade
The tribute list did not stop there, as Cena delivered yet another submission lock. He executes the Accolade, the submission lock of Rusev, whom he faced at WrestleMania in 2015.
The Undertaker's Chokeslam and the Tombstone
Towards the ending moments of the match, Cena paid tribute to The Undertaker. He delivered a chokeslam and followed it up with a reversal Tombstone to highlight The Undertaker's impact on his career.

Triple H's pedigree attempt
Apart from executing the moves successfully, there were a couple of failed attempts as well. One of it was a Pedigree attempt as a tribute to Triple H, which was countered by the former TNA star. Cena faced Triple H in several big matches.
Rey Mysterio's 619 attempt
Another such attempt was Rey Mysterio's 619. Fans chanted "619" as both the wrestlers spammed a series of finishers. Probably an improvisation took place in real time for a 619 attempt. However, Styles countered the move.
