Legend revealed that she and Williams were truly friends from their days in the Performance Center. The emerging star added that she later got to know about Trick in person and regarded him to be a person, adding that the NXT star reciprocates the same feeling about her.

"We were just friends first, like we were both at the PC, we had our own lives, our own thing going on outside of work, but we were truly just friends for the first couple years at the PC, then I got to learn that he's just such a great person, and I think he feels the same about me," Lash said in a talk with Denise Salcedo.

She added that Trick wanted to see how they would be outside of work. Lash said that's how their love developed, and added they have so many interests. Lash said that the duo decided that they were supposed to be together.

"Then one day we were like 'hey lets be friends outside of work and see what happens', and it did. We just clicked, we have so many of the same interests, our background is so familiar, it was just so easy. It was like yeah, we're supposed to be together so lets be together," she added.
