John Cena will defend his IC Title against Dominik Mysterio at the Survivor Series 2025 in the latter's hometown of San Diego. Cena is the favorite to win, given it's his final ever appearance in a PLE as an active wrestler. However, as the match is in Dom's hometown, one might not rule out the chances of his winning.
On the November 10 episode of the Red Brand, an impromptu match took place between Cena and Dom for the IC Title in Boston. Cena claimed an unexpected win and became one of the Grand Slam Champions. The following week on Raw, a rematch for the IC Title was accepted.

However, Dom wanted it to happen at the Survivor Series, as it is in his hometown. That's the only factor that could create a bit of doubt about Cena not retaining. Given that Dominik is highly over among the fans despite being a heel, WWE would be tempted to hand him the title back.
Will John Cena put Dominik Mysterio over?
If Cena is to lose, there have to be either interferences or dirty tricks from Dom's part. The former could make sense only if The Vision interferes to cost him the match after taking Jimmy Uso out of the match, which could potentially pave the way to be a part of the War Games.

Otherwise, Cena would be the outright favorite to win, as it will be his last PLE, and having him strong for his retirement match is essential. But to please the home fans, he might well put Dom over after winning. This makes sense, too, given he is face and Dom is still the heel.
