Tama Tonga progresses to semifinal of his maiden King of the Ring tournament after overcoming megastar LA Knight

Tama Tonga claimed a win over LA Knight to progress to the semifinal of the King of the Ring 2024. Before the match in Backstage, Paul Heyman repeatedly asked Solo Sikoa if he was in conversation with Roman Reigns after WrestleMania XL. For the rest of the match, the crowd chanted "We want Roman" and "Roman Reigns" whenever Solo's face was shown on the screen.

The match saw the domination of Knight from the first half. The Megastar was about to do what he promised. He took down Tonga to his limits and dominated the MFT of the Bloodline. He delivered some of his signature moves like the Big Elbow and the athletic jump to the ring to hit punches. At one point in the match, Tonga looked totally lost and ready to give up.

Just when the Megastar prepared to deliver the BFT, Tonga Loa and Solo dragged Tama out of the ring. An angry Knight got down to get his opponent back in the ring. Solo and Loa attacked the Megastar and allowed the MFT to recover from the pain. It helped the MFT as he delivered his finisher and pinned Knight to claim a win. 

AJ Styles to talk to Nick Aldis about his future

In his very first appearance in the KOTR, Tama will be in the semifinal. In Backstage, AJ Styles was asked about his next move on Smackdown. Styles acknowledged that he lost to Cody Rhodes on Backlash 2024 despite coming close to beating the champion. He added that losing to Randy Orton in the first round of the KOTR tournament did not help him. 

The Phenomenal One hoped to have a talk with Aldis in the upcoming week to see what his future could be. After the interview, the commentators asked the broadcasters to upload the footage from the Twitch account of the company which was hacked by Uncle Howdy through QR codes. It confirmed that the attack on the account was indeed true. The fans are excited for the return of Uncle Howdy.
