LA Knight called out Logan Paul and issued a challenge for the United States Championship during this week's episode of WWE SmackDown. When the two superstars faced off on the blue brand a few weeks earlier, the problems between Paul and Knight started.
Knight sat ringside at the King & Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event for Paul's major matchup with Cody Rhodes. The Maverick's dreams of becoming a double champion were dashed as he failed to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship.
This week on SmackDown, LA Knight was looking for Paul again, which prompted him to speak with Nick Aldis. The Megastar was notified by the SmackDown General Manager that The Maverick would not be appearing on the show this week.
Knight and Paul teased heat on TV several times at last year's Money in the Bank, and they just had a brief altercation backstage. Both have mesmerizing mic skills and tremendous in-ring abilities, making LA Knight an ideal opponent for Logan Paul and his US belt. The prospective battle between the two Mega Stars may be a lucrative, attention-grabbing, and highly anticipated event in their careers.
The match will take place at SummerSlam
Logan Paul defended the United States Championship for the second time during his reign at WrestleMania XL. Before this, he defeated Randy Orton and Kevin Owens in a Triple Threat Match. Meanwhile, LA Knight has yet to capture a major championship in WWE. His sole championship achievement in the firm was winning the Million Dollar Championship.
At the forthcoming WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event, a championship fight between Paul and Knight might be announced. However, WWE has yet to disclose anything about The Maverick's upcoming championship defence. It's unclear when he'll return to SmackDown.
Knight was then rebuked by Carmelo Hayes, who interrupted him and said that while Knight had spoken the talk, he had done the walking. Paul and Knight have had several arguments in the past. Both of them participated in the Elimination Chamber match earlier in 2024 and the Money in the Bank Ladder Match in 2023.
