Gunther gets better of Randy Orton to win 'King of the Ring 2024' title, earner a SummerSlam slot

The fight took place on Saturday, May 25. The atmosphere in Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi’s Jeddah was completely electric as fans were super excited for this clash.

Earlier, Gunther outshined the superstars like Sheamus, Kofi Kingston, and Jey Uso to make it here in this ‘iconic’ clash for ‘King of the Ring’ title against Randy Orton. On the other hand, Orton went through AJ Styles, Carmelo Hayes, and Tama Tonga to make himself eligible for his amazing showdown.

The company promised the SummerSlam slot for the winner of this ‘King of the Ring 2024’ clash between Orton and Gunther. It also made it like a ‘do-or-die’ match for the veteran superstar Orton to earn a prestigious honour in his illustrious career of almost 2 decades.

Now, Gunther will also be eyeing winning the SummerSlam to add another honour in his career on his credit. The Ring general is also the second winner of ‘King of the Ring’ title in the history of WWE.

Besides this, Nia Jax managed to get the better of Lyra Valkyria to clinch the title of ‘WWE Queen of the Ring 2024’ during the premium live event stage in Saudi Arabia on Saturday. Jax is the second winner of the title ‘Queen of Ring’ in the history of the tournament since the inaugural edition of the tournament was played three years back in 2021.
