Kevin Owens was in an interview recently where he was asked about CM Punk. The star wrestler claimed that he never talks with the Second City Saint. The former world champion said that Punk was not his friend. While he did not know why they were not friends, KO felt they had no reason to talk.
Kevin Owens claimed that if they work togther, they would talk. However, he felt it was not the thing they usually do. "We never talk. We have no reason to talk. We're not friends. We're not, we don't, you know, we're just not, I don't know. We have no reason to talk. If we work together, we will talk, but just not a thing we do," said KO in the interview.
When CM Punk returned to the company for the first time in over 9 years at the Survivor Series 2023, there was a mixed reacrion from the wrestlers, fans, and the rest of the Wrestling community. Along with Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins, KO was one of those who was not too excited with the return of Punk. He had a history with the voice of the voiceless in ROH.

Before the duo made it to WWE, they were in ROH. They did not particualrly have a great relationship. The latest statement from KO has come as a bit of a surprise for the fans as many were unaware of it. Kevin added that he would be ready to talk with Punk if he had a feud with him. Otherwise, Owens added that he would just say 'Hi' for formality.
At WWE Bash in Berlin, KO lost the world title match to Cody Rhodes. Despite doing his best, Rhodes ended the night as the winner. While many expected him to turn against Cody, Kevin did not. Punk had a Strap match with Drew McIntyre. The fans felt it was upto the wrestlers to decide if they wanted to talk to an individual or not.
