Kevin Owens declared himself to be 'True WWE Champion' after Saturday's main event

At WWE Saturday night's main event, Cody Rhodes faced Kevin Owens and defended his Undisputed WWE Championship. Cody won the match, but after the show ended, everything changed as Owens put Rhodes on the shelf. As a result, The Prizefighter now calls himself the "True WWE Champion." 

During WWE's Holiday Tour, Kevin Owens will perform his first matches as the "true WWE Champion," he stated on Twitter. On December 26th, the tour begins in Jacksonville. It then moves on to Florida for three more gigs before concluding in Detroit. Owens made fun of the "Holiday loop," a wrestling nickname for a string of consecutive matches in several locales.

By posting this image, Kevin Owens could have been implying that Triple H was acting hypocritically and gently drawing attention to the inconsistency in his behavior. Despite having previously profited from Triple H's assistance during a championship bout, Owens now appears to be the target of the legend's wrath. Triple H's unpredictable personality has been questioned before since he has a history of betraying people when he believes it would benefit him.

Kevin  Owens continues to manage his career and relationship with Triple H

Kevin Owens wasn't finished with Cody Rhodes after the main event. The fans were startled when Owens used a vicious package piledriver to ambush Rhodes after the cameras had stopped rolling. Medical personnel hurried to Rhodes' help after the action seriously hurt him. The attack was so severe that Rhodes was carried from the arena on a stretcher. 

Triple H rushed out and grabbed the belt from Owens as he was making his way backstage with it. Referees intervened to break up the intense altercation between the two as they were shoving one other. Fans are left wondering whether the connection between Owens and Triple H has altered or whether this is just another chapter in their complicated history as Owens continues to manage his career and relationship with Triple H.
