Drew McIntyre was interviewed backstage by Cathy Kelley after winning with Logan Paul against Jelly Roll and Randy Orton on Night 1 of WWE SummerSlam 2025. The Scottish Warrior was asked about Jelly Roll the wrestler and the performance he delivered on his debut. McIntyre claimed he was a lot tougher than he thought and laughed at what happened to Punk.

"As a wrestler? No. Absolutely not. As a singer? Yeah, he's great. He proved to be a lot tougher than I thought. But.. OK, I've got to say something about this," said Drew McIntyre as he had a laugh at CM Punk's situation on Main Event of Night 1 of SummerSlam 2025.

At WrestleMania XL, Drew and Seth had a match with each other for the world title. While Drew beat Seth, the former lost his concentration and composure, ridiculed CM Punk at the commentary desk, as Damian Priest made use of the situation, cashed in his MITB Contract to screw Drew out of the Championship just a little over 5 minutes into his reign.

Drew reminded Punk of the past and claimed it was a Karma moment. He said eth did to Punk what the latter did to him at WrestleMania XL. Drew regarded Seth to be a professional rival and added that Punk wasn't. He congratulated Seth for his win and concluded, saying Karma is indeed a b**tch.

"Karma's a hell of a thing. I've been watching what's been going on on Raw with Seth. Seth and I, professional rivals, not like Punk and I.
