Je'Von Evans made his WWE debut on February 6, in a match that will most likely air on NXT Level Up shortly. Je'Von Evans is set to make his NXT debut after joining the WWE Performance Centre in early 2024. As previously reported, Evans was known as Jay Malachi on the independent circuit before joining WWE at the beginning of the year.

During Stand & Deliver, a promo confirmed Evans' NXT debut on 9th April Tuesday. Evans has previously competed in NXT house events and NXT Level Up but has yet to appear on the main NXT television show.

His debut took place before the February 6 show of WWE NXT, when he faced Brooks Jensen. He competed in three AEW Dark bouts between 2022 and 2023 but did not win any of them.

Before joining WWE he was known as Jay Malachi

On the April 9 edition of WWE NXT, Je'Von Evans, 19, made his official NXT in-ring debut against Scrypts. Evans first displayed his dazzling offence, but Scrypts seized control and kept him grounded. Evans then made his comeback, returning to the ring with a clothesline. OTM drew Scrypts out to help him, but Evans pushed himself out of the ring, knocking down all three. Finally, Evans executed his Hole in the Road finisher from the top for the pinfall victory.

Evans competed on the independent circuit as Jay Malachi before joining WWE. He also had three appearances on AEW Dark. Evans was one of a batch of recruiters who reported to the Performance Centre in January. On February 6, WWE registered a trademark for the name "Je'Von Evans".
