Austin Theory, who was paired with Grayson Waller, has been absent from WWE TV since July 2025. Waller has seemingly moved on from him, as he is involved with the New Day as 'Big G'. Several reports have different things to say about Theory's WWE status, including his potential release, charges for his alleged involvement in the US Capitol riots, and injury.

PWInsider reported that the former Money in the Bank winner was removed from the WWE internal roster. Fightful.com's Sean Ross Sapp reported that Theory is till a part of the WWE internal roster, but is under the injured section. As per TMZ, Theory is facing charges for his alleged involvement in the US Capitol riots of January 2021.

Waller and Theory were paired for over 20 months, whose association ended out of nowhere with no segment, moment, or screen time, but just with a mention from Waller's promo. While Grayson has been paired with the New Day as 'Big G', there has been no proper update on Theory's status.

Loss of Austin Theory's Momentum in WWE

As the former United States Champion's name was not visible on the active roster, PWInsider's report claimed he was removed from the Internal roster. However, Sean Ross Sapp reported Austin top be injured, while TMZ pointed at his charges. Out of nowhere, there has been uncertainty over Theory's future in the company.

In 2022, Austin received the push of his career when he won the Men's Money in the Bank. In a disastrous moment, he decided to cash-in on the United States Champion. Theory even wrestled John Cena at WrestleMania 39 and claimed a win. Since then, everything has been going downhill for him.
