In the semifinal, India was against Australia and overcame the huge hurdle to get to the final. India won the final against New Zealand to win the Champions Trophy in 2025. In the process, India became the team to have won the most Champions Trophies (3).

T20 World Cup 2024

India's win in the T20 World Cup 2024 came months after losing the heartbreaking ODI World Cup in 2023. In the group stage of the tournament, India overcame Ireland, Pakistan, the USA, and Canada to qualify for the Super 6. India's opponents in the Super 6 were Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Australia, all of whom lost to the 2007 champions.

In the semifinal, India claimed a dominant win over England to qualify for the final. In the big match, India beat South Africa in a thriller to claim a win by 7 runs. It was India's second T20 World Cup win, which is the joint-most, along with England and the West Indies. India won it without losing a match.

ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025

The Indian Women's team won the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 to add the first major title to their cabinet. In their first two matches, Indian team beat Sri Lanka and Pakistan to top the table. However, they lost to South Africa Women in the following match after dominating the match for most parts.

The hosts conceded the highest-ever run chase in the history of Women's ODIs at the time to Australia. They later lost against England Women from a winning position. In a mustwin game, they beat New Zealand to qualify for the semifinal. While the match against Bangladesh washed out, India won the incredible semifinal against Australia and went on to win the title by beating South Africa in the final.
