How Smackdown will benefit from Roman Reigns' return?

Roman Reigns' return at SummerSlam could be highly beneficial for Friday Night Smackdown. Given how stale the show has become since the exit of The Rock and Roman, the presence of the latter will be key. In the upcoming episode, Reigns will be returning to the blue brand for the first time since WrestleMania to address the aggression of the new Bloodline.

After Roman Reigns went away from the Friday night show, the story and segments have not been great. After the WWE Draft took place, Smackdown lost some talent. Since then, the story has not been that great. Barring the story of the Bloodline, other segments are not that interesting to watch. The viewers have claimed that the return of Roman was the need of the hour.

In every show that featured Solo Sikoa and Co, there were chants of "We want Roman" from the fans showing his need in the shows. Now that he is finally back, the fans would be hoping to see him take on Solo, Tonga brothers, and Jacob Fatu. This segment could singlehandedly change the fortunes of the sho which has otherwise not been that great.

Smackdown to get better 

Additionally, there were some other results at SummerSlam that could have an impact on the blue brand. Bayley lost her world title to Nia Jax. In the next few weeks, the dynamics of the title could change given the fact that Tiffany Stratton is with Nia with the Money in the Bank contract. She could well turn against Nia to make things interesting.

The ongoing story between Grayson Waller and Austin Theory might come to an end as the latter has been sacrificing his partner in every instance. It could lead to a face turn from Theory. Likewise, the belt of Cody Rhodes might be challenged better after Bash in Berlin. When the viper loses to Gunther, his focus might shift towards Cody.
