Drew McIntyre's old prediction on Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar has gone viral on X. The WWE Superstar went crazy as Virat notched up his 46th ODI ton in the series against Sri Lanka. He gave a prediction that Virat would surely go past Sachin Tendulkar in terms of the number of ODI tons. His prediction came true as Virat scored his 50th ODI hundred in the ODI World Cup 2023.
Drew McIntyre is an avid cricket fan. The passionate wrestler often reacts to some of the massive feats of the sport. One such instance was when Virat came back to his form after suffering a poor run for about three years. In the series against Sri Lanka in January 2023, Virat scored two hundred in a series for the first time since March 2019.
Take a look at Drew McIntyre's tweet here -
Even by his own standard today’s knock was insane. Virat Kohli is a different breed 🐐 Surely he’ll go past Tendulkar and reach 50 ODI tons?! pic.twitter.com/Cd8sQHfCQd

In the first ODI of the series, Virat scored 113(87) to start the year on a high note. The Indian batter managed just 4(9) in the second match. Before anyone could doubt him, the star batter smashed an incredible 166*(110) in the third ODI. It was his 46th ODI hundred, which was three less than Sachin Tendulkar back then.
Drew McIntyre's prediction comes true
It was after the match that Drew tweeted. In his prediction, Drew claimed it to be an insane knock. The Scottish Warrior claimed Drew to be a different breed and was sure that he would go past Sachin's record of 50 ODI tons. "Even by his standard, today’s knock was insane. Virat Kohli is a different breed Surely he’ll go past Tendulkar and reach 50 ODI tons?!" wrote McIntyre.
Drew's prediction came true in November 2023. During the match against South Africa, Virat scored 101*(121) and equalled the record of Tendulkar for the most ODI hundreds. In the semifinal of the ODI WC 2023 against New Zealand, Kohli scored 117(113) and became the first batter to smash 50 ODI batters, surpassing Sachin in the process of proving Drew right.
