A fan perfectly predicted the reason behind John Cena's heel turn even before the official confirmation. The fan claimed Cena turned against Cody Rhodes and the fans at the Elimination Chamber for the hate he received when he was in his prime. The fan posted a video compilation of the fans chanting against Cena from his prime years.

On the 4th of March, 13 days before Cena explained the reason behind his heel turn, two Instagram users collaborated and came up with a video explaining the reason behind John's heel turn. The user named 'Dr. Adam K' and 'War of Wrestling' posted the video which had a compilation of chants and songs against Cena.

The video started with the fans singing "John Cena sucks' during his tag team match with Sheamus against the Wyatt Family on WWE Raw. The edit further included the fans cheering when Cena mentioned about him leaving WWE. As the fans chanted "Yes! Yes! Yes!" Cena could not help but smile at them.

Cena's segment with Bret Hart on WWE Raw was added to the video where the fans chanted "You can't wrestle". The same chants continued in the video, which was from the Money in the Bank match between CM Punk and Cena. While Punk asked if it was him, fans replied they were chanting it on John.
The video then had the fans chanting "You still suck" from the tag team match between The Rock and Cena against R Truth and The Miz from 2011. The video had a segment from Cena's segment against the Great One from 2011 where they chanted "You're a loser".
The edit included the fans chanting "We all hate you" as Cena could not help but embrace it gracefully. The edit concluded with Cena's heel promo from his early days where he asked haters to kiss his a**. As it turned out, the fan was right, as Cena turned heel due to the toxicity he copped from the fans.
