ESPN rates Crown Jewel 'B' after giving 'C' grade to Wrestlepalooza (X)
Overview
- ESPN reviewed WWE's Crown Jewel 2025 on their official website and gave it a 'B' grade
- ESPN wasn't too pleased with Wrestlepalooza either, which had bagged 'C' grade in their official rating
- Since Wrestlepalooza, ESPN has had a collaboration with WWE where the Premium Live Events are streamed on ESPN's app in the United States
ESPN gave its official review of the WWE Crown Jewel 2025, which took place in Australia's Perth. In its official website, ESPN gave a 'B' grade to the show, which was regarded harsh by the fans. After Wrestlepalooza, ESPN wasn't impressed either, as they had rated the show 'C'.
With Wrestlepalooza, one could understand that the low grading made sense. The match between Brock Lesnar and John Cena was an unnecessary squash which could've been avoided. The main event saw Cody Rhodes defend his title against Drew McIntyre, which could've had a better ending. The mixed tag team match featuring AJ Lee and CM Punk against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch was fine.

The match between Iyo Sky and Stephanie Vaquer was the best of the night. Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso lost to Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker in the tag team match which wasn't good either. However, Crown Jewel deserved to have better ratings, as most of the matches were good and exceeded expectations.
How was WWE Crown Jewel 2025 compared to Wrestlepalooza?
The night started with the Australian Street Fight between Roman Reigns and Bronson Reed. The latter's win was the right booking to elevate him to the main event scenario. Stephanie and Tiffany Stratton delivered a good match in the limited screen time they got.

The highlight of the night was the match between AJ Styles and John Cena, which could be the Match of the Year. The tag team match between The Kabuki Warriors and the duo of Iyo and Rhea Ripley delivered too. The main event match between Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins was great. Hence, the show probably deserved a better rating than B.
